Our team includes licensed master plumbers and electricians, EPA-certified technicians, and experienced project managers, energy modelers, and building scientists. Each Kingfisher project reflects not just our ideals for performance, reliability, and comfort, but also our experience and expertise.

  • Founder + CEO

    Hunter formed the Kingfisher team in 2022. He noticed that many homeowners find it difficult to make a clear decision about clean energy. Kingfisher offers practical but analytically thoughtful heat pump advice and designs that address home energy problems.

    Hunter earned his PhD at Dartmouth College in 2021 and concluded his academic career at Dartmouth as a Research Scientist in the Thayer School of Engineering. He remains a Research Fellow, where he continues to works with researchers on applied home energy problems.

    Hunter holds an EPA 608 license, has the highest levels of heat pump manufacturer electrical service diagnostic training, and he also posses a BSP certification from the Building Performance Institute.

    Although Hunter conducts the majority of Kingfisher’s in-house energy modeling, and he is also on-site for all installations.

  • Project Manager and EPA Certified Technician.

    Joshua is responsible for Kingfisher’s site visits and project proposals and he is Kingfisher’s lead installation technician. For this reason, Joshua is likely to know more than anyone about your project objectives, your home, and your heat pump design.

    Joshua’s mantra is radiate positivity, and he carries this perspective into his engagements with you, your project, and his team. He earned his B.S. in Business Management, summa cum laude, from Universit of New Hampshire, and is a native resident of Cornish, New Hampshire.

  • Field Technician

    Casey is responsible for field installations of heat pump systems. She has specific expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, and possesses an unusual capacity for problem-solving and system design. Casey is a life-long learner and a skilled teacher. When she is not in the field with Kingfisher, she teaches Science and Technology at Hanover High School.

    Casey is a native resident of Lyme, New Hampshire and now living in Norwich, Vermont. She earned her B.S. from Brown University, magna cum laude, with double concentrations in Economics and Biology. At Brown, she was an NCAA Championship-winning rower as well as an All-American and Scholar-Athlete.

  • Master Plumber

    Mike is a licensed master plumber in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Vermont, with over 18 years of hands-on experience across residential and commercial projects. From hydroinc heat pump designs, to new installs and complex troubleshooting, Mike has the breadth and depth of plumbing systems. He brings a practical, thorough, and no-nonsense approach to getting the job done right.

  • Operations Manager

    Hannah works to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. She oversees scheduling of site visits and your project, and all Kingfisher team operations. Eager to be immersed in the world of energy-efficiency and mechanical systems, Hannah can often be found on site visits to your home, in our offices in Hanover, or joining the team during the fieldwork phases of your project.

    Hannah earned her B.S. in Travel, Tourism, and Hospitality Management, summa cum laude, from Johnson and Wales University. Before joining Kingfisher, Hannah oversaw a private executive retreat facility in Vermont, and served as Senior Workplace Experience Coordinator for Toast in Boston, one of the fastest growing Restaurant management software companies in the United States.
